We have been using the lower control arm brake cooling kit on our BMW M2 Competition for 1000s of road and track miles. This bolt-on brake cooling kit means that overheating brakes has simply not been an issue on track. It is a must-have product for anyone who tracks their F8X BMW.

We have been designing brake cooling solutions for vehicles for over 8 years now, not just for our own products, but for many highly regarded motorsport companies. So it's fair to say we know a thing or two when it comes to designing the perfect brake cooling product.
 
The F8X BMW platform has been around for a while now,  and 1000s of high-end performance parts have been developed from manufacturers all around the world. But for some reason, brake cooling products have always been lacking, and massively sub-standard compared to products in other categories. When we built our own M2 Competition, we worked with Pinnacle Motorsport to quickly improve their lower arm brake scoop prior to a Nurburgring trip, which had been poorly designed by a previous company. As brilliant as the Pinnacle Backing Plate kit was, it was let down by the scoop, which feeds air to the backing plate, which cools the brake disks. After taking the car on many track days testing other products for the platform, we knew that the scoop was due a complete, ground-up redesign. 
 
We have spent months 3D scanning the entire suspension of our M2 Competition, designing, and 1000s of road and track miles testing our all-new brake cooling scoop, to ensure it is without question, the best product in its category on the market for this platform.

Properly Track Tested - Thoroughly tested on track with real-world data collected. This kit reduces disk temperatures by more than 28%, and caliper temperatures by 7%.
Massive inlet area - Massively improved to intake as much air as possible from under the car.
Flow-formed design - Airflow characteristics that perfectly guide air into the ducting with no sharp edges or corners that will only cause drag and barely flow any air to your brakes.
Stone & debris guard - A new feature to the market, our optional stone guard slots onto the scoop, preventing debris such as stones and leaves from getting sucked up and into the brakes. The guard also protects the scoop, and is cheap and easy to replace if it gets damaged.
Mount design perfectly integrates around the control arm - This is a product that is designed to fit, not something universal that will flap around and fit poorly.
Ducting rim - Fitting ducing neatly is made easy, having a nice edge to but the ducing up to, for a clean and snug fit.
Left and right-hand labelled - A small detail that takes the guesswork out of what fits where!
Fibre reinforced ABS plastic construction - An engineering-grade material that is more than up to the job, creating a strong and flexible product that will last.

New flexible silicone hose
This new flexible hosing replaces the old fibreglass style of hose, that didnt bend particularly well, and was prone to deteriorating pretty quickly under the car. The new silicone hose has a smooth internal profile, as the ribs are on the outside of the hose. Being silicone-based, the hose flexes much easier, meaning you don't end up with jagged bends in your hose, which can restrict airflow. In addition to this, the silicone lasts much longer when exposed to the elements under the car.
 
Flexible Options for Installation
If you have an alternative method for directing air to the hose, for example, the M2 CS Racing Brake Ducts, then this kit is also available without the 3D-printed ducts. This flexibility allows you to adapt the Pinnacle Brake Cooling Kit to your unique requirements.
