A Sprogley sun strip is more than something to keep the sun out your eyes...

Us car enthusiasts love a good sun strip. It's more than a piece of vinyl to keep the sun out of your eyes while enjoying a sunny evening B road blast, or track day with your pals, it's your way of showing you are more than just a customer, you are part of the Sprogley family <3

We appreciate each and every one of you who choose to represent Sprogley on your pride and joy, out of all the brands you could have chosen, so thank you from the Sprogley Team.

High Quality Sun Strip Banner

We have used enough sun strips over the years to know a good sun strip from a s**t one! It's fair to say that fitting a sun strip can be a pain in the arse to say the least, so a high-quality material is a brilliant way to make it as painless as possible. Our sun strips are flexible, easy to remove bubbles and last forever. The sun strip logos are cut, not printed, so you can fit them however you like. This is also handy when working around windscreen sensors, as you don't have to lose sections of the logo, which just looks rubbish. As pictured, you can see how fantastic our Sprogley sunstrip looks on our BMW M2, while not affecting any of the sensors.

Tips for fitting a sun strip

  • Thoroughly clean your windscreen prior to fitting the sun strip. DO NOT use quick detailer. Instead, use warm water and washing up liquid as it will degrease the windscreen
  • Fill a spray bottle with some water and a touch of washing up liquid. You can lightly spray the windscreen and back of the sun strip to make it very easy to move the sun strip around and remove bubbles. This makes all the difference to a good end result.
  • Measure once, then measure again! There is nothing worse than a wonky sun strip, or worse still, doing a fantastic job of fitting the sun strip with no bubbles, only to find one side is 3cm higher than the other (ask me how I know...). Tape some guide lines onto the windscreen with masking tape, to make sure the sun strip ends up nice and straight.
  • Use a microfibre squeegy, or wrap a microfibre cloth round a card or driving license etc to acheive a similar result. This will help get all the bubbles out, and nicely tuck the corners in for a proper job.
