Correct use of the product
 
To minimise the risk of part failure and subsequent damage to surrounding components, the brake calliper scoops must be used correctly.
A suitable air source must be used in conjunction with the caliper scoops, and the scoops must be connected to the air source at all times during use. Do not fit the caliper scoop without an air source, as the air is required to cool the scoop during heavy track use.
Proper cool down laps must be done prior to coming into the pits after a track session. Failure to do so can cause the static heat from the brakes to damage the brake cooling scoops. DO NOT come straight into the bits after a hot lap with hot brakes.
Although this product can be fitted to a car that is used on the road, we highly advise against it, so as to avoid road debris entering the scoop and being ejected onto the brake caliper and pad area.
A minimum of 10mm is needed between the top lobes of the AP calliper and the inner barrel of the wheel in order to clear the scoop, but ideally 11-12mm to avoid contact with any wheel weights. We have plenty of clearance using a 2Forge 18" wheel, with a 387mm disk, for reference.

Substantial brake cooling effectiveness - Over 20% cooling to the brake caliper and pad area, and 16% cooling to the brake disks, when tested on our BMW M2, using our F8X lower arm scoops. Effectiveness could be further improved with a larger air source from the front of the vehicle.
Scoop Design - Our in-house developed scoop is flow formed to pump a large volume of cool air directly onto the brake pads, cooling the pads and caliper itself.
Scoop Construction - We have spent months testing and refining the process of manufacturing with an extremely high temperature, carbon-based thermoplastic, to enable us to make a product that bolts to the brake caliper. Extensive post-processing is done to further strengthen the parts and make them extremely heat-resistant, up to around 280-290 degrees C in short bursts.
Used in conjunction with a backing plate kit - This product can be used with a brake cooling backing plate to further improve brake cooling effectiveness. We recommend that a backing plate kit is prioratised of you only have 1 cooling course available.
Performance Advantages - Brake performance is noticeably improved on the race track, with brake components taking much more abuse without overheating.
Part Longevity - Not only does better cooling improve braking performance, but it also prolongs the lifespan of disks and pads, saving money in the long term.
