PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE! FAILING TO DO SO CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE HOUSING.

Running silly small air filters and Audi MAF housings on your big power car is a thing of the past! This beastly unit is all the filtration you'll ever need to go fast.

Kit includes

  • SM 90mm MAF housing / filter base, with integral velocity stack

  • Ramair Proram oversized 114mm performance air filter

Key Features

  • Large Proram filter removes as much restriction as possible from the filter element of your intake set up
  • Velocity stack MAF Housing / Filter Base smooths airflow and removes air pocket restriction, resulting in gains of up to 5bhp

This kit will fit any vehicle with a 90mm intake (Big turbo / KoX Hybrid Vauxhall for example)

Due to popular demand, we have made our beastly 90mm MAF & Proram air filter set up from our Hybrid intake kit available to order separate. This means if you currently have a 90mm intake on your Hybrid / Garrett ect. car already, this kit will bolt straight on the car and you will be good to go!

The Ramair Proram air filter in standard size is already what we hold as the best air filter on the market. The quality of the filter is unmatched by any other air filter we have ever experienced, and the price is extremely reasonable for what you get. However... we discovered in the furthest corners of the Ramair catalogue, the largest Proram you can fit under the bonnet of an Astra (trust us... we've tried them all). This Proram air filter is very unusual, it is the only Proram available in its size, and with a 114mm ID, this allows it to fit just about nothing... that's where a little Sprogley Magic comes in.

How do you take this big old 114mm Proram and make it fit to a 90mm intake while making sure there's enough room for the stupidly big 90mm MAF sensor? Mash them together of course!

We have designed a 90mm MAF sensor housing that doubles up as a 114mm filter base with integral velocity stack (smooth compression of air entering the intake). This achieves 2 things that would otherwise be impossible.

  • Allows you to fit this 114mm Proram to your 90mm intake

  • Removes the need to use a large 90mm MAF housing, free-ing up a lot of room

This combination has allowed us to produce our massive 90mm Hybrid intake kit, while barely taking up any more engine bay than the regular 80mm intake kit. Nice and tidy, just how we like it!

Instructions

Failing to correctly install our MAF housings can cause damage such as cracking/splitting. These MAF housings have been tested thoroughly, both by ourselves and independently. They are more than strong enough for their purpose, and will only break if not installed correctly. We WILL NOT replace or refund any MAF housing that has clearly been damaged due to incorrect installation (see returns policy, section 1.6), so please read the following instructions and take care during installation.

Please ensure your car is calibrated to run the chosen MAF housing size (80mm, 90mm etc). Failing to do so can cause the car to run poorly and can potentially cause serious damage.

Screwing the MAF sensor into the housing

When installing the screws into our MAF housing, it is essential to take care to avoid cracking the sensor boss. The screw thread needs to be cut inside the hole. This can be done by gently turning the screw in 2 turns, followed by turning back out 1 turn. We have installed countless sensors into our MAF housings this way, and never once caused the housing to split.

Connecting your silicone pipe to the MAF housing

Due to the rough surface and tight tolerance of the 3D printed part, silicone pipes grip onto the housing very well, without any clamping force from a jubilee clip. We have deliberately made the fit very snug for this reason. The jubilee clip is simply a safety measure to ensure the MAF housing can't possibly slip out of the silicone pipe. Because of this, the jubilee clip only needs nipping up. It is important to remember that the air inside your intake is a vacuum, not positive pressure. By gently nipping the jubilee clip up, you will not damage the MAF housing. If the jubilee clip is aggressively over-tightened, it will cause the MAF housing to crack. This amount of pressure is completely unnecessary.

Please take care during the installation.
